Threads of Tradition

This exhibition was a collaboration between the National Hellenic Museum’s curator and the exhibition intern team. The team developed Threads of Tradition from conception to construction. We wrote labels, installed graphics, and mounted artifacts.

In collaboration with the Museum’s education department we created an interactive for children to dress up in traditional Greek clothing.

Greece has one of the most varied selections of traditional costumes in Europe. Threads of Tradition highlights why these costumes  remain an important element of official Greek celebrations, festivals and national holidays, as well as inspire contemporary fashion designers from around the world.
