Integrated into the permanent Omaha Beach exhibition at the First Division Museum at Cantigny Park, Surviving D-Day offers a soldier’s perspective of the harrowing experience on the beach. Visitors are presented with real-life situations and then must choose which soldier to follow. By lifting up the panel visitors reveal the fate of the solider they followed.
Surviving D-Day received the Illinois Association of Museum’s Award of Merit for Exhibits in 2019.
