Using the free izi.Travel app we helped create multiple mobile audio tours for the Carillon Historical Park, a 65-acre park and museum in Dayton, Ohio. The park contains dozens of historic buildings and exhibits concerning the history of technology and the history of Dayton and its residents from 1796 to the present. The app can be accessed by visitors at the park on their personal mobile devices to help them navigate the spacious site. The tours are not location locked, so they can be accessed by anyone who wants to learn more about the park if they are unable to physically visit. We assisted with selecting sites, creating content, writing scripts, sourcing photos, and recording the audio.
We created three tours to address the needs of various visitors. A one-hour highlights tour is available for visitors with a limited amount of time. There is a two-hour tour for visitors who want a more in-depth history of the park. We also created a tour of the exhibits inside the park’s Heritage Center, giving visitors more information about the exhibits and allowing people to virtually tour the exhibits.
